A livejournal friend posted this, and I thought it was worth filling out. I remember Lizzy asking me a few months ago about what I wanted to do "when I grow up" and I thought that was hilaaarious at the time, but she has a point. Hmm.

The Grown-Up Meme

1. What bill do you hate paying the most? Kaiser mostly does that, but if I had to choose the one that is hardest to pay (because it's the most useless cost), that would be cable.

2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
Romance? Wot? I guess it was Persimmon for our last wedding anniversary? Or Valentine's Day at home.

3. Last time you puked from drinking?
When I was a freshman in college. I blacked out and puked a lot apparently. I started drinking a lot more carefully after that.

4. When is the last time you got drunk and danced at a bar?
I've never danced at a bar. I don't really go to bars.

5. Name of your first grade teacher?
Ms. Hershey

6. What do you really want to be doing right now?
Cleaning my clothes a little, but alas, I'm online.

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A meteorologist, librarian, fashion designer, and architect.

8. How many colleges did you attend?
Two.

9. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
I love this shirt, it's so comfy and floral-y.

10. GAS PRICES?
On one hand, sick. On the other hand, they should probably be higher so that people don't take it so for granted.

11. If you could move anywhere?
Right now my pick is the Pacific Northwest. Realistically, I'd want to move out to Northern Montgomery County. Farmland, y'all. Like I said in an earlier post, anyplace with a Chipotle, Trader Joe's, affordable housing, and Canada nearby.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
No alarm, just husband. First thought was that it's nice waking up next to him. Second thought was, crap, I managed to fall asleep while playing Animal Crossing on my DS and it's battery was probably all drained.

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
Gotta make henna paste to do my mom's hair, remember to return some clothes I bought today, and register for summer classes.

14. Favorite style of underwear?
Depending on the situation, low-rise bikini or boyshort.

15. Favorite style of underwear for the opposite sex?
Boxers for sure.

16. What errand/chore do you despise?
Paying bills, because I'm kind of bad with that. I've been getting a lot better, though.

17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer?
Absolutely, no question.

18. Get up early or sleep in?
Early. I feel icky when I sleep in.

19. What is your favorite cartoon character?
Rocko, I think.

20. Favorite NON sexual thing to do at night with a girl/guy?
Go on walks together, especially through neighborhoods.

21. Have you found real love yet?
This is as real as I could ever hope.

22. When did you first start feeling old?
It's always been a mixture between feeling young and old. I guess I've been feeling pretty young recently. I'll just say 21 is when I really started feeling it.

23. Favorite '80s movie?
The Hugga Bunch Movie. I'm really showing my age here. I think Kaiser was even too old for this movie when it came out.

24. Your favorite lunch meat?
Honey-roasted turkey breast.

25. What do you get every time you go into Walmart?
I've been to Walmart maybe 4 times, and disliked it. I like Target. And every time I go to Target, I leave with Hanes underwear. Yep.

26. Beach or lake?
Tough one. Probably beach.

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
It depends on the rituals within marriage. I don't think marriage and commitment are outdated. But then again, I don't see marriage as a radically life-changing event. I see it as an extension of already-existing love and affection. And I also define marriage pretty loosely, since legal paperwork does not a true marriage make.

28. How many people do you stalk on Facebook?
I don't stalk people on facebook.

29. Favorite guilty pleasure?
it's a tie between licorice and Chipotle. I know, sick.

30. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?
Hmm. "Dude, Where's My Car?" was actually kind of funny. In a bad way. I still like it.

31. What's your drink?
Long Island iced tea :x or Malibu Bay Breeze. I don't think either of these quality as "my" drink, though, since I don't really drink.

Native Americans?

Not cops, depends on the type of robber.

Sara Virgil. She disappeared! Maybe google will index this page and someday she'll google her own name and see this? And then contact me?

I don't have a workplace like that.

It's been a long, long time. I believe it was Hey, Nostradamus! by Douglas Coupland.

No, I have a stuffed elephant named Onesy. He sleeps in our bed with us sometimes.

46. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
In the backyard of my grandfather's house in the rural Kashan, kneeling in dirt, rinsing with water from a spring.

47. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go?
Napa Valley.

48. Do you go to church?
I do no attend religious services. Sometimes I wish I did, but the lack of options in the area gets in the way.

49. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?
New career. I like my relationship tons.
